It was a bright morning on World Polio Day at Buraburitala Health Centre. The courtyard buzzed with cheerful voices as the Rotary Club of Malda Central gathered to celebrate a cause close to every Rotarian’s heart — the dream of a polio-free world. Colorful banners of “End Polio Now” fluttered in the breeze. Mothers waited patiently with their little ones, and Rotarians moved around with warm smiles, guiding families and spreading awareness. As each child received their two drops of the life-saving polio vaccine, they were handed a soft End Polio Now–branded teddy bear — a small gift carrying a big message of love and care. The children’s faces lit up with joy as they hugged their new teddies, some laughing, others holding them tightly as if they’d just found a new friend.
